Iloilo Warriors magbabalik sa NBC na may paghihiganti

Nangako ang Iloilo Warriors na magbabalik dala ang kanilang paghihiganti sa second season ng National Basketball Conference (NBC) na magsisimula sa Abril 16.

"We have learned our lessons last year. We started strong but faded going into the homestretch," wika ni Iloilo Basketball League president Robert Uy. "We’d rather have a slow start but a strong finish this time."

Nabigo ang Warriors na taglay ang 5-1 panimula noong nakaraang taon sa Ozamiz Cotta sa second round ng southern division.

Inihayag ni Uy na ang Iloilo ay babanderahan ng all-Ilongo team na pangungunahan nina Eduardo Allado Jr., Elben Leonida at NBC’s scoring leader- All-Star Carlos Sayson Jr., ang kampanya ng Warriors.

Magsasagawa ang Iloilo ng tryout sa March 28 sa Iloilo Sports Complex kung saan ang Ateneo-Sta. Maria coach na si John Trumpets ang siyang mangangasiwa sa event. Ang sinumang interesadong players ay maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa IBL director na si Bayani Ladrido sa 0917-3025990 at Snook Divinagracia sa 0917-7919687.

Si Trumpets ang siyang ipinalit kay Roy Deles, dating PBA player na nag-migrated na sa Amerika matapos ang nakaraang season playoffs.

Sasabak ang Warriors sa southern division kasama ang defending champion Tribu Sugbu (Cebu Tribes) ni businessman Lito Gillamac Jr., Ozamiz Cotta ni Mayor Rey-naldo Parojinog, Cagayan de Oro Stars ni dating Governor Antonio Calingin, Valencia Golden Harvest ni Mayor Jose Galario at Iligan Crusaders ni Mayor Lawrence Cruz.
