Andrea Veneration Int’l choral festival 2013 winners

MANILA, Philippines - In the 2013 Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival Chamber Choir category, ONE Chamber Choir from Singapore won first prize, followed by Paragita Student Choir of Universitas Indonesia and Kammerchor Manila. For the Folk Music category, first prize was won by the World Vision Korea Children’s Choir from Korea, followed by the Technological Institute of the Philippines Choral Society, and University of the Philippines Los Baños Choral Ensemble.

Winners in the Vocal Ensemble category were Aleron, Koro Ilustrado, and University of the Philippines Los Baños Choral Ensemble.

The festival was held in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Madrigal Singers and to honor the country’s beloved late National Artist for Music Andrea Veneracion who is recognized for raising the standards of the art of choral music all over the country.
