Austria honors Kay Siazon

Due to her unwavering effort in promoting the lovely nation of Austria in the Philippines and Japan, Kay Siazon, wife of Philippine Ambassador to Japan Domingo Siazon Jr., received the Grand Decoration of Honor from the Embassy of Austria. In ceremonies recently at the official residence of the Austrian Ambassador Wilhelm Donko, Siazon received the honor saying that she “absorbed the rich Austrian culture and history in Vienna through her eyes, ears and skin.” Siazon lived in Vienna for 25 years as a visiting resident to accompany her husband (for extended periods) to participate in United Nations conferences. Both in Manila and Tokyo, she continually shares her Austrian experiences through hosting Austrian musical concerts and spearheading the famous Vienna Opera Ball.

A chic evening for Angie

The affable Angie Sison had one of the most intimate and memorable birthday celebrations at the upscale lounge and dining haven Society Lounge located at the Atrium of Makati. Surrounded by her dearest friends, the celebrator thoroughly enjoyed the heart-warming affair highlighted by the scrumptious dishes prepared by seasoned chef and Society Lounge GM Patrice Freuslon. Everyone marvelled at the elegant furniture pieces and stunning interiors of this extraordinary destination that exudes a classy feel to any type of gathering.

A radiant velada

Congratulations to the Diamond Jubilarians – Assumption College Batch 1950 — who recently had a successful “velada” at the Assumption San Lorenzo, Makati. It was one nostalgic affair as former classmates and longtime friends once again gathered to reminisce about the treasured times they spent within the walls of the Assumption, and talk about their current endeavors.

 ‘Krazy over Garlik!’

A unique concept became the current buzz in the local restaurant scene. The main attraction is a cooking ingredient that people are familiar with — garlic! Recently, The Bistro Group launched its newest addition to its roster of innovative restaurants — Krazy Garlik located at the second floor of Greenbelt 5. During the launch, dynamic Bistro Group vice president for business development Amy Palisoc and hardworking vice president for operations Robert Santos warmly welcomed guests to the elegant 200-seater restaurant where they were bowled over by the delicious garlic-inspired dishes concocted by the excellent kitchen team headed by brilliant Bistro executive corporate executive chef George Lizares. Gracing the festive celebration was honorable Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, among many others.
