Discounts, treats await teachers

MANILA, Philippines — Teachers nationwide may avail themselves of various treats and discounts in line with the celebration of National Teachers’ Month from Sept. 5 to Oct. 5, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).

During the press launch of the National Teachers’ Month celebration on Tuesday, the DepEd said partners from the private and public sectors have agreed to offer teachers treats and discounts from their services.

Partners include museums, such as the Mind Museum, Museo Pambata (free for teachers and two companions plus free gift items), Ayala Museum, Fundacion Sanso and the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (free entrance on Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27).

Teachers may also avail themselves of discounted rates at Star City and Vargas and BenCab Museums as well as free entrance at Art in Island (weekdays until Sept. 28), the Manila International Book Fair, Yuchengco Museum, Museo Kordilyera, Museo Orlina, GSIS Museum and the National Museum.

They can also avail themselves of discounts and treats on other partners, such as Kenny Rogers, Executive Optical, Krizia, Bioessence, Rags2Riches, National Bookstore, Rulls Cellphones and Accessories, Dermstrata, LCC Department Store and Riverbanks Center and its participating merchants.
