Close quarter battle

THE STAGE IS SET. During the last day of campaigning for the barangay elections, the two parties vying for power in Barangay Punta Princesa were left with no choice but to hold their miting de avance in the same area because there was not much space in the crossroads of the barangay. So the stages were set practically within sight and sound of each other, a stone's throw away.

BATTLE FOR "AIR" SUPREMACY. By early evening the two parties started their programs together since they did not want the other to start ahead. One group played songs as the other spoke and the other would turn up the music when their rival bets addressed the crowd. The space was so small the supporters of both parties had to mingle. Luckily, they were friendly with one another.
