MANILA, Philippines — A policeman tagged in the disappearance of Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon is facing more charges.

Maj. Allan de Castro is facing administrative complaints for immorality and in connection with the charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention filed against him, according to the police Internal Affairs Service (IAS).

At a press briefing yesterday, IAS Inspector General Alfegar Triambulo said a recommendation may be released before the end of the month.

“Our timeframe is within seven days. We will resolve the pre-charge and we will file for summary dismissal proceedings,” Triambulo said.

De Castro reportedly admitted that he had an affair with Camilon.

Triambulo said the actions of De Castro, who is married, were unbecoming of a police official.

He said the offense is punishable with suspension for one day to dismissal from the service, depending on the circumstances.

The IAS will submit a recommendation to Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, who will make the final decision.

“If the director does not issue a decision within 30 days, the IAS recommendation automatically becomes the decision,” Triambulo said.

Camilon and De Castro were supposed to meet on Oct. 12 when the beauty pageant candidate went missing.
