Student, 18, shot dead in Quezon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — An 18-year-old student was killed in a gun attack in Pagbilao, Quezon on Monday night.

Jayvee Ramos, a first year criminology student, and his girlfriend Leigh Manto, 19, were on a motorcycle when they were waylaid in Barangay Mapagong at around 10:45 p.m.

Although wounded, Ramos managed to drive home, but died while being treated in a hospital. Manto was unhurt.

An investigation is ongoing.
