Eastern Samar bettor wins P8.9 million lotto jackpot
MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in Eastern Samar won the jackpot in the 6/45 Mega Lotto drawn on Friday.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the bettor, who bought the ticket in Quinapondan town, guessed the winning numbers 28-10-16-03-25-13, which had a total jackpot of P8,910,000.
Eighty-eight other bettors who hit five of the winning numbers won P32,000 each.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Lotto winnings exceeding P10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act or TRAIN Law.
Meanwhile, there was no winner of the jackpot in the 6/58 Ultra Lotto, which was drawn also on Thursday.
The PCSO said no ticket matched the winning numbers 05-55-19-22-11-02 with a jackpot of P49.5 million. Thirty-nine bettors who guessed five numbers won P20,000 each.
