Bong Go aids displaced La Union workers in La Union
MANILA, Philippines — The office of Sen. Bong Go assisted more displaced workers in La Union during relief operations in Aringay and Agoo towns on Wednesday.
Strictly enforcing safety and health protocols, members of Go’s outreach team distributed face masks and packed meals to 194 displaced workers at the Aringay town hall and Eriguel covered court in Agoo.
They also gave select individuals computer tablets to help their children with blended learning activities.
Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided livelihood support to the workers under its Sustainable Livelihood program.
“Salamat po sa DSWD sa programang SLP-LAG. Bibigyan kayo ng puhunan, tuturuan kayong magnegosyo. Palaguin nyo ang inyong negosyo. Mas masarap ang pakiramdam pag pinaghirapan at pinagpawisan nyo ang inyong negosyo,” Go said in a video message.
The senator encouraged those with medical concerns to visit the Malasakit Center at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in San Fernando City.
Go’s team organized similar relief operations for displaced workers in Tubao, Pugo, Sto. Tomas and Rosario.
