Navotas brings down active COVID-19 cases to 8
MANILA, Philippines — Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco yesterday lauded a new record of bringing down active COVID-19 cases in the city to just eight, adding that the public should not be complacent amid the threat of new virus variant Omicron.
Tiangco said none of the 163 individuals who underwent swab tests in the city came back positive.
There were only eight active COVID-19 cases in Navotas as of Sunday, he added.
Tiangco still cautioned his constituents to comply with health protocols and mask up amid the threat of the Omicron variant.
“While it has not yet entered the country, we have to be careful all the more,” Tiangco said.
