MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has identified four persons of interest in the the killing of Court of Appeals Justice Normandie Pizarro.

Justice Secretary Guevarra said one of the four is “willing to divulge what he knows.”

”The NBI is looking at all possible angles and Justice Pizarro’s previous work in the Court of Appeals is one of them,” Guevarra said.

Citing the result of DNA test, the NBI confirmed that a body found in Barangay Laway, Capas, Tarlac on Oct. 30 was that of Pizarro.

Justice Undersecretary Adrian Sugay said Pizarro was last seen leaving a casino in Clark, Pampanga on Oct. 23. His car was found abandoned in San Simon, Pampanga.

Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta yesterday asked law enforcement agencies to arrest those responsible for Pizarro’s death.

“I ask our law enforcement agencies to press on with their investigation so that the perpetrators of this barbaric act can be caught and brought to justice,” Peralta said.
