Cache of weapons discovered in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — Government troopers discovered a cache of ammunition in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on Monday.

Reports reaching the office of Col. Marvin Joe Saro, Nueva Ecija police director, said soldiers were conducting security operation in Sitio Tactac, Barangay Puncan when they found ammunition for a grenade launcher, 7.62mm and 5.56mm rifles, magazines for an M16, bandoliers and magazine pouches.

The recovered items were placed under the custody of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.
