Patient falls to death at EAMC

MANILA, Philippines — A patient fell to his death at the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) in Quezon City on Friday night, police said yesterday.

Joel Anoso, 45, was found on the ground floor behind the EAMC building by a security guard on routine patrol at around 8:20 p.m., according to police.

Anoso was brought back to the hospital for treatment but died shortly after.

Initial investigation showed that Anoso was last seen at around 8 p.m. leaving his room on the sixth floor of the hospital’s east wing.

Probers said the victim was admitted to the hospital for treatment of typhoid fever and pneumonia earlier this week.
