Cagayan teacher faces raps for beating up student

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines — A public school teacher allegedly beat up a Grade 4 student at the Mungo Elementary School in Tuao, Cagayan on Wednesday. 

The nine-year-old student told police that his adviser hit him in the head and stomach when he accidentally moved her chair while he was polishing the floor using a coconut husk.

The teacher faces charges for violating the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
