Boy, 5, run over by pa’s jeep dies

ITOGON, Benguet  , Philippines  —   A five-year-old boy died after he was accidentally run over by a jeepney driven by his father in this town on Wednesday.

Rhaiven Kurt Cornel suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

Initial investigation showed Cornel followed his father Rufo, 41, when he went out of their house to park the passenger jeepney.

Rufo said he did not notice that his son boarded the vehicle and fell.
