2 killed in hit-and-run

MANILA, Philippines – Two men were killed in a hit-and-run accident involving a luxury car, whose driver counterflowed in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Police identified one of the fatalities as Lowell Gonzalgo, 25.

Gonzalgo and his companion were on a motorcycle along East Avenue when they were hit and dragged by a Hummer (BEU-200), which counterflowed along V. Luna Road in Barangay Pinyahan at around 5:40 a.m.

The driver of the Hummer fled after the accident, leaving behind the victims and the license plate of the car that was detached due to the collision.

The Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety response team rushed the victims to the East Avenue Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
