25 families lose homes in QC fire

MANILA, Philippines - At least 25 families were left homeless when a fire broke out at a residential area in Quezon City on Saturday night. 

Arson probers said the fire started at the two-story house of Tomy Ariola, 34, along Raja Soliman street in Barangay Sta. Lucia at past 9 p.m.

The fire reached the third alarm before it was put out at around 10:30 p.m.

John Paul Abujela and Ervin Balatucan were injured during the fire.

Authorities said 14 houses were destroyed by the fire. Damage to property was placed at P200,000.

Arson investigators said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
