11th Quezon City inmate recaptured in Rizal

MANILA, Philippines - Another inmate who bolted from the Cubao police station in Quezon City was recaptured by the police in Rizal province shortly before noon Monday.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that Roland Araneta, who is facing robbery charges, was re-arrested at around 11:30 a.m. in Taytay town.

Araneta is the 11th prisoner re-arrested by tracker teams since their escape from the Cubao Police Station 7 on New Year's Eve.

Policemen are tracking down five more inmates.

QCPD director Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao has relieved the Cubao police commander pending the result of an investigation into the prisoners' escape.
