10 hurt as wayward truck hits SUV, jeepney

MANILA, Philippines - At least 10 people were injured after a wayward truck rammed a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a passenger jeepney in Quezon City, early Tuesday.

A radio report said that an Elf truck owned by Emerald Chemicals lost its brakes and slammed onto an SUV which was about to take a U-turn at the southbound lane of  EDSA in Project 7, Quezon City.

The impact threw the SUV to a concrete post of the Metro Rail Transit, also damaging the vehicle's front part, the report added.

The truck also hit a passenger jeepney. The injured victims were all passengers of the jeepney, which was bound for Project 8.
