Isabela cop chief killed in ambush

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya , Philippines  – The police chief of Benito Soliven, Isabela was killed while six others, including a military officer, were reportedly seriously wounded in an ambush while they were on their way to respond to a robbery case yesterday morning.

Reports identified the fatality as Senior Inspector Alfonso Derraco and those wounded as SPO2 Rodolfo Marine, SPO2 Danilo Languido, PO3 Rogenito Sotelo, PO2 Nap Dagman, PO1 Alex Abalos, and a certain Sgt. Ramos of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
