Phisix down by 0.11 percent, peso holding steady

Shares were trading lower Tuesday, the index down by 3.47 points to 3,263.56.  The All Shares market also closed lower by 9.20 points to 2,088.15.

Most of the subindices were in the red except for holding firms and services, both moving up.  The biggest loser was mining and oil, down by 40.21 points.

Volume was pegged at 2.19 billion shares worth 3.33 billion pesos.  Losers beat winners, 85 against 34, with 52 stocks unchanged.

At the foreign exchange, the local currency was buying at 45.35 and selling at 45.90 in morning trades.  The peso had closed trades at 45.64 against the US dollar yesterday afternoon.
