15th San Diego Asian Film Festival features Pinoy movies

SAN DIEGO - Pacific Arts Movement celebrates its 15th San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF), the region’s largest film festival, November 6 to 15 with expanded programming and a record number of venues. This year, SDAFF will premiere more than 140 films from 21 countries, including a vast selection of Filipino films. PhilAmTHropy.com is once again a media partner of Filipino movies with the following films.  PhilAmTHropy is a crowdfunding site for projects made for or made by Filipinos. Based in California, the site has successfully helped fund various projects from Filipinos all over the globe.

• ANITA’S LAST CHA-CHA

Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) George is an engineer by trade who left his wife and child in the Philippines to search for work in Japan. He lands a job as a stunt double for a Japanese sentai show “Force Five.” (Think Power Rangers, and George is the blue ranger.) Ashamed of the work he’s forced into taking, George refuses to come to terms with his fate. That is, until he discovers that his son idolizes the blue ranger, not knowing the true identity of the man behind the mask. Family, comedy
