Woman, 21, nabbed for pimping girls on FB
MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old woman was arrested during a sting in Manila Thursday night for allegedly posting nude photos of teenage girls on Facebook and pimping them to customers, an official said yesterday.
Police officers rescued four girls from the woman’s house in Pandacan on Oct. 2, according to Superintendent Dennis Wagas, who heads the Manila Police District (MPD) anti-human trafficking task force.
Among the woman’s victims is her own 14-year-old sister. The other girls are her sister’s friends, ranging in age from 12 to 16, Wagas said.
The suspect and her victims are neighbors.
The woman had promised each of the girls a mobile phone and P3,000 to P4,000 each if they would strip before the camera. She did not fulfill her promise, police said.
Barangay officials rescued the three girls from the woman’s house when their mothers found out.
The mothers went to the MPD, which set up a sting to obtain footage of the suspect admitting to posting nude photos of the girls on Facebook and pimping them.
The woman brought one of them, a 15-year-old high school freshman, to a condominium unit, where a Taiwanese customer was waiting.
When the girl refused to have sex with the customer, he masturbated in front of her.
The woman will be charged with violating the Expanded Anti-Human Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012, Wagas said.
