2 dead, 1 hurt in jeepney mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Two brothers were killed and a five-year-old girl was injured when a passenger jeepney’s brakes failed and the vehicle hit them as they were standing on the curb in Caloocan City Monday afternoon.

Jose Marifosque, 50, and his brother Rey, 48, died while being treated for head injuries at the Caloocan City Medical Center. Criscelle Athena Medes, on the other hand, is still under observation at the same hospital.
