Chinoy hangs self

MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino-Chinese man reportedly hanged himself in Tondo, Manila on Thursday afternoon.

The body of Felix Villa Yu, 49, was discovered by his girlfriend Grace Catamora at around 1:30 p.m., said Senior Police Officer 1 Christian Caparas of the Manila Police District’s homicide section.

Caparas said Catamora had just gotten out of bed when she saw her boyfriend with a telephone wire looped around his neck.

The victim’s partner told police that Yu committed suicide due to financial problems.

Yu’s remains were brought to Arch funeral homes for autopsy.
