3 dead in Palar Village shooting; 8 arrested

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were killed after being shot by an alleged retired soldier at the Palar (Philippine Light Armor Regiment) Village in Barangay Pinagsama in Taguig City yesterday.

Initial reports reaching the Southern Police District (SPD) said the shooting happened at about 9 a.m. at Mt. Apo Extension street.

Police said the three still unidentified victims were declared dead on arrival at the nearby Ospital ng Makati.

At least eight suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting. The identities of the suspects were, however, not given.

Investigators are also still looking for the motive behind the shootings.
