Birthday girl's pa punches guest

MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested yesterday for punching a guest at his daughter’s 20th birthday celebration at their house in Mandaluyong.

Leroy Manlangit, 39, was drunk when he tried to intervene in a heated argument among guests at the party for his daughter, Liane Kryzel, and ended up punching Oliver Valentine Sangalang, 20.

Sangalang is currently confined at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center for breathing difficulties. His mother, Nenita, a professor, filed a formal complaint against Manlangit, who is being held at the city police detention center.
