P2-million jewelry, watches stolen from Alabang mall

-

MANILA, Philippines - Nearly P2 million worth of jewelry and branded watches were reported missing from a watch boutique at the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City Friday.

Muntinlupa police said Washington boutique sales staff Merlita Osorio and supervisor Maria Lourdes Villaluna filed a belated report at the station.

The two complainants alleged that they just discovered that several items in their store were missing when they reported for work Friday morning.

An initial report of the incident said there were no signs of forcible entry and that the door or lock of the store was not destroyed. Store personnel are still doing a thorough inventory of the stolen items.

A team led by Senior Police Officer 1 Rodel Torres of the City Police Investigation Section are still conducting a follow-up investigation on the theft. – Rhodina Villanueva
