8-hour water cut-off in Caloocan, Navotas, Malabon

Some areas in Caloocan, Navotas and Malabon will have no water for eight hours, starting at 10 tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) yesterday said the water interruption is due to the installation of a 250-mm district meter along Gen. San Miguel near corner Sabalo street; and of a 150-mm district meter along Nadurata corner 7th Avenue, both in Caloocan City.

The areas that will have no water for eight hours are Portion of East Grace Park bounded by A. Bonifacio, 5th Avenue, Rizal Avenue and 10th Avenue; portion of West Grace Park bounded by Rizal Avenue, 10th Avenue, 7th Avenue and PNR Railway.

Also the whole of Sangandaan and Libis area bounded by PNR Track, C-3 Road, Libis Talisay and Gen. San Miguel; PNR and DM Compound; Gen. San Miguel and lateral streets; Bisig ng Nayon and lateral streets; P. Aquino and lateral streets; Bisig ng Kabataan and lateral streets; and Hizon and Baltazar area, all in Caloocan City.

In Navotas, the areas without water for eight hours are Dagat-Dagatan, areas along Northbay Blvd and lateral streets, Barangays Bagumbayan, San Rafael, Sipac-Almacen, San Jose, Navotas West/East, San Roque, Daang Hari, Tangos and Tanza.

Additionally, the areas that will have low pressure to no water include a portion of East Grace Park bounded by Rizal Avenue, 10th Avenue and A. Bonifacio; portion of West Grace Park bounded by Rizal Avenue, 7th Avenue, PNR Railway and 5th Avenue; and portion of West Grace Park bounded by Rizal Avenue, 10th Avenue, Stotsenberg and Francisco streets.

Affected in Malabon are a portion of Barangays Tonsuya, Longos and Tanong.

The repair and maintenance works are part of Maynilad’s continuing program to upgrade and improve its service to customers in these areas.
