Six cops honored for honesty

-
Six personnel of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) were honored yesterday for honesty and dedication to duty.

SPO4 Noel Rufon Sr. and PO2 Ricky Cortez, of the Marikina City police; PO3 Felecito Solano, PO2 Hernando Vivo, PO1 Giovani Teodorico Loenca and PO1 Marlon Dizon, of the Central Police District (CPD) La Loma police station, were inducted into the Kuya Ko 2 Hall of Fame by Interior and Local Government Secretary Jose Lina Jr.

De Leon cited Rufon and Cortez for returning the passport of Emelyn Lupian, who was due to depart for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The police officers, he said, refused the P3,000 reward offered by Lupian.

Meanwhile, Solano, Vivo, Leones and Dizon arrested Estribo gangmen and recovered the stolen items after responding to a distress call.

"Without wasting time, they responded and arrested the culprits displaying the essence of a true Kuya sa Kalye," Aglipay said. — Non Alquitran
