Armed man arrested

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested Thursday evening a 41-year-old man near the Basak Elementary School in Lapu-Lapu City for gun possession.
Simeon Bronola, of sitio Eskwelahan, barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City is detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office detention cell pending the filing of charges against him.
The Marigondon Police Station quickly sent a team led by PO2 Jasper Nunez to the area after receiving a tipoff from a caller.
Police cornered the man and was frisked.
Found in his possession was a loaded caliber .22 magnum revolver and alleged shabu.
The man, who was later identified as Simeon Bronola, said he just found the gun. (FREEMAN)
