ICI: ‘No one is above the Law’ sa flood control mess
MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak ni Independent Commission for Infrastructure chairman retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Andres Reyes Jr. na “no one is above the law” kaugnay sa imbestigasyon sa anomalya sa flood control at iba pang infrastructure projects.
Ayon kay Reyes, “honesty is the best policy” at ginagawa ang imbestigasyon para sa Diyos, bansa at sa mahihirap na mamamayang Pilipino.
Kasabay nito, umapela si Reyes ng tulong ng media na hubaran ng maskara ang isyu ng korupsyon.
“Other than the mayors, maybe the media can also help us towards discovering the truth,” dagdag ni Reyes.
Nasa ikatlong araw na ang ICI sa pag-iimbestiga sa anomalya sa flood control projects.
Una nang ipinatawag ng ICI sina Senate President Tito Sotto, Senate blue ribbon committee chairman Sen. Panfilo Lacson, dating Senate finance committee chair Grace Poe, at Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco.
Ipinatawag na rin ng ICI sina dating DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan at dating Bulacan assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez kaugnay ng usapin.
Samantala, humarap naman kahapon sa pagdinig sina Sens. Joel Villanueva at Jinggoy Estrada kaugnay sa pagkakadawit nila sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
