PAGASA said the tropical cyclone will be named Inday if it enters the Philippine area of responsibility.

The cyclone was monitored 1,564 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon and was carrying maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kms per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

The state weather bureau said tat the cyclone may enter the Philippine area of responsibility today or in the next 24 hours but it will not have a direct effect on the country’s weather system.

PAGASA said the cyclone could also move northward and coast the country’s northern boundaries.

The southwest monsoon is affecting Western and Central Luzon and could bring moderate to at times heavy rains over these areas.

Scattered rainshowers are expected over Zambales, Bataan, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may see improving weather conditions today.

Still, isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms could be experienced during afternoons and evenings.

Temperatures in Metro Manila will range between 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.
