MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo’s trust rating went up from “good” to “very good” in the fourth quarter of last year, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.

Sixty-six percent of Filipinos expressed “much trust” in Robredo, while 14 percent said they have “little trust” in her, resulting in a net trust score of +52.

The remaining 20 percent were undecided.

The SWS survey, conducted from Dec. 8 to 16 last year, used face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults – 18 years old and above – nationwide.

Robredo’s latest trust score was 16 percentage points up from her +36 trust rating (56 percent “much trust,” 21 “little trust”) in September last year.

SWS noted that the Vice President’s net trust rating was a moderate +29 when SWS first surveyed it in December 2015.

The trust rating of Robredo improved to very good in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao and stayed moderate in Metro Manila in the fourth quarter of last year.

It rose by two grades from moderate to very good in Mindanao, up 26 points from +24 (48 percent “much trust,” 24 percent “little trust”) in September to +50 (63 percent “much trust,” 13 percent “little trust”) in December.

Her trust score went up from good +48 (65 percent “much trust,” 16 percent “little trust”) to very good +64 (77 percent “much trust,” 13 percent “little trust”) in the Visayas.

It also rose by one grade from good to very good in Luzon, up by 16 points from +40 (58 percent “much trust,” 18 percent “little trust”) to +56 (68 percent “much trust,” 12 percent “little trust”).
