Metrobank's Ty receives Lifetime Achievement Award in CEO Excel Awards

Manila, Philippines -  Metrobank Group chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty was recently conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award in the 2012 CEO (Communication Excellence in Organizations) Excel Awards by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)-Philippines.

The Lifetime Achievement Award of the CEO Excels is a special award, and with the honor, Ty joined the group of outstanding national and industry leaders who epitomize

management competence and excellence in communication at a strategic level.

Past recipients of the award were Rafael Buenaventura, Fr. James Reuter, S.J., Henry Sy, Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Oscar Lopez, and Dr. Emerlinda Roman.

The CEO Excel Awards is conferred annually by IABC Philippines on top-level business leaders who masterfully and effectively champion the use of excellent communication

as a business strategy.

The awardees exemplify exceptional use of communication strategies and tools in management and their leadership helps achieve business environment and social development goals.

In the past, Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepeña (2005), Metrobank Group vice chairman Dr. Antonio Abacan Jr. (2006), and Manila Doctors Hospital director Atty.

Pilar Almira (2011) were recognized as CEO Excel awardees.
