MANILA, Philippines — Jason Momoa and Chris Hemsworth are set to shed their good boy act and try to be their baddest yet. The DC and Marvel stars are confirmed to play the "baddies" in popular movie franchises "Fast & Furious" and "Mad Max", respectively.

George Miller created Mad Max, the post-apocalyptic film series in 1979 that starred Mel Gibson in three succeeding movies.

"George saw Chris [Hemsworth] initially as a courtesy and then fell in love with the idea," producer P.J. Voeten was quoted to have said in the book "Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road."

"He's going to play totally against type, the lead baddie," Voeten added.

It was in 2020 when the "Thor" star revealed he had been casted along with Anya-Taylor Joy in the "Mad Max" prequel origin story. Joy will play the titular role "Furiosa."

Mad Max: Furiosa is scheduled for release in 2024.

Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy starred in the 2015 release "Mad Max: Fury Road," 30 years after the last in the franchise was released in 1985.

Momoa, meanwhile, confirmed that he will try to shake the "family" when he plays the antagonist in the latest title of the popular "Fast & Furious" franchise.

"I'm gonna go do 'Fast 10,' that's gonna be fun... it's fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven't gotten to do for a while. Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy," Momoa said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Like Hemsworth, Momoa said he has been mostly known as a heroic figure in the DC Cinematic Universe as Justice League's Aquaman.

Fans will have to see how the often-hailed "Sexiest Man Alive" will have to contend with Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel) and his gang of car enthusiasts/racers-turned-unlikely heroes face-off with a baddie oozing with charisma and a head full of luscious locks.

"Fast 10" is set to hit theaters in May 2023.
