Angelica Panganiban on Coco Martin: 'Masarap siyang pag-tripan'

MANILA, Philippines — Angelica Panganiban shared an interesting observation on her "Love or Money" leading man Coco Martin — he's fun to pull a prank with.

Ever the jokester and trickster, Angelica shared that it was a pleasant surprise to get to know more about TV's favorite cop, Cardo Dalisay, off his popular police role.

It was during their shooting in Dubai that she got to know the actor.

"Tahimik e. Mahiyain. May sarili siyang mundo e," she shared during last Saturday's virtual mediacon for their upcoming movie that will start streaming on KTX.ph on March 12.

She added, "Or baka 'di niya trip 'yung kabaliwan ko.

The actress was also game on answering the question on what's her "expectation vs. reality" moment with the actor.

Reality wala akong nakuha. Well, gano'n naman kasi ako. Mahilig akong mang-asar. Parang gano'n," she shared.

She also revealed some trivia about the actor apart from saying that Coco is generally a happy person.

She concluded, "Masarap siyang pag-tripan na tao actually. Hindi ko 'yun ini-expect sa kanya."

Their director, Mae Cruz-Alviar, who, like Angelica, got to work with Coco for the first time, shared a different aspect of the actor. Her observation came from the fact that Coco is also a director who is directing himself on TV's long-running action drama show, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano."

Ang dami kong English'," she recalled.

From the director's chair, she observed how willing Coco is to be directed.

"From the beginning, paulit-ulit niyang sinasabi, 'I-direk mo ko ha. Correct me. Ginagawa ko 'yung Cardo for six years'. Minsan naging automatic or second nature na sa kanya maging Cardo. Gustong-gusto niya 'yung ganon. He really wants to be a different character. Meron siyang conscious effort to shed off Cardo.

Dami niyang tricks up his sleeves. Parang Action 101. Ang dami kong natutunan from him, but at the same time, he is willing to be directed," Alviar-Cruz noted.
