The search is on for the next Darna

MANILA, Philippines — If Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano and her manager, Ogie Diaz, would have their way, they think the actress that should replace Liza as Darna should be a “new face.”

In his Facebook account, Ogie said it is better and more exciting if the new Darna movie will be the first to introduce the actress to showbiz.

Ogie shared that Liza told him that if it is a new face, she better give her best because being Darna is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Give her heart and soul to the project, lalo na sa mga trainings at sa acting. And I know for sure, this movie will make her. Wag lang ikalaki ng ulo niya because hindi siya nag-start from bottom. Big break agad. Kaya remain humble’,” Ogie said.

Last May 4 and 5, ABS-CBN’s movie production company Star Cinema has opened the audition for the next superhero Darna to the public after Liza backed out from the project due to an injured finger.
