MANILA, Philippines — Beauty pageant Binibining Pilipinas has named its top 40 finalists and among those that saw this new batch of aspirants for the crown is Binibining Pilipinas International and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa.
“It’s going to be a tough year. I’m so excited to watch the whole pageant again. I’m really excited for what the girls have in store. It’s really an exciting year for them,” Kylie said in a recent interview with Philstar.com.
According to her, this new batch has more “stronger” contenders than previous years.
“Each batch gets better and better, so the competition also gets tougher and tougher,” she enthused.

After knowing the finalists, does Kylie think the Philippines has a chance to take home more crowns this year?
“Definitely!” exclaimed Kylie, brand ambassador for Star Cruises’ SuperStar Virgo, which recently launched its themed routes that give Filipinos a chance to cruise with celebrities like Kylie.
What is her message to this year’s contenders?
“I’m hoping that they also uplift the standard of pageantry at itaas ‘yung bandila ng Pilipinas pa.”
