MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya heartthrob Xian Lim is on a roll after his successful concert at The Theatre at Solaire as his latest album under Star Music titled “Key of X” has already amassed sold out album tours a month after it was first introduced.

The singer-actor’s third album came three years after his sophomore album, and for the first time, he ventures into production work as he conceptualized and directed his music video for his carrier single “Getting To Know Each Other Too Well.” Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina joined him in the video as his leading lady.

The popular Gerard Kenny revival is currently invading local hit lists, already the #1 MOR chart topper and also soaring in various MYX charts.

Xian’s new album includes the OPM classic, “Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig,” a composition of Vehnee Saturno and originally popularized by the Queen of Soul Jaya. He also covered another OPM favorite, “Honey My Love So Sweet,” composed by Vingo Regino.

The chinito singer also included two original songs in this latest compilation: a Kiko Salazar composition and love ballad, “Manhid;” and the light melodic track “Download” composed by fellow singer Dingdong Avanzado.

Since its August launch, Xian has already generated sold out album tours in several areas: Las Pinas City, Malolos City, Bulacan, Lipa City, Batangas and Sta. Rosa, Laguna. He will be in another album tour in Vista Mall - Bataan on Sept. 29 (Friday), 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya recording artist and actress Kim Chiu celebrates her 11 successful years in the industry with the launch of her new album under Star Music, “Chinita Princess: Touch of Your Love.”

The “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” star has exceeded expectations when she ventured into making her own kind of music, and now, she is ready to prove her distinctive flair once again in her third album produced by Rox Santos.

Kim’s latest offering has five original tracks, with a bonus minus one track. It is fittingly called “Touch of Your Love” as she explained in a recent “Magandang Buhay” interview. “All my songs here are about different types of love. There’s something on having a crush, on hoping to be adored in return, different touches of love,” she said.

Her carrier single “Okay Na Ako,” composed by Nica del Rosario, has already dominated the top spot in MOR 101.9 charts for several weeks now.

Other tracks in her album are “’Wag Kang Makulit” composed by Nica Del Rosario and Hazel Faith, “Ipadarama” by Kiko Salazar, “Katok” by Jack Rufo and Yani Rufo, and “Yun Na, You Na” by Jungee Marcelo.

The female singer already has several chart-topping songs in her portfolio -- “Peng Yu,” “Crazy Love,” “Falling For You,” and “Mr. Right.” “Gwa Ai Di,” her debut album that includes “Crazy Love,” achieved a gold record in 2008, and her hit song “Mr. Right” was cited as the "LSS Song of the Year" in MOR Pinoy Music Award 2016.

“Chinita Princess: Touch of your Love’s” album launch will be held on Thursday (Sept. 28), 7pm at SM City North EDSA – Skydome. She will be joined by Kaye Cal, Kisses Delavin, and other special guests.
