Miss U ticket prices revealed

MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Universe local host committee chair on Sunday revealed the ticket prices for the 65th Miss Universe pageant to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Jan. 30, 2017.
In a Facebook post, host committee Chair Richelle Louse Singson-Michael announced that ticket prices ranged from P2,000 to P50,000. The price of the cheapest ticket was contrary to the Department of Tourism's (DOT) earlier pronouncement of P8,000.
The price of the most expensive ticket, however, was P50,000 — similar to what the DOT earlier announced.
According to the pageant’s host committee chair, the selling of tickets will start on Dec. 20, 2016, Tuesday, at SMtickets.com. The coronation night is set on Jan. 30, 2017 at 8 a.m. (Manila time).

DOT Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo earlier this week said there are only 200 tickets left for the VIP section since the Miss Universe Organization already reserved majority of the seats.
This is the third time the Philippines is hosting the international pageant. Teo said former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis Chavit-Singson and reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach made efforts to make the country’s hosting possible.
