Kris Aquino gives Boy Abunda luxury vehicle because 'he's alive'

MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino gave Boy Abunda a very expensive gift for staying alive.

 

After recovering from a medical condition that forced him to go on hiatus from TV work for several weeks, Boy received a Hummer, an expensive brand of SUV, from “The Buzz” and “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” co-host Kris as an advance birthday gift.

 

“Because he is my best friend, because I'm so grateful he's alive & because I want to make him happy. I gave Boy the Hummer tonight after A&A. Uulitin ko, kulang pa this gift because sobra sobra ang pagmamahal, pagtiwala at pag aasikasong naibigay at patuloy na binibigay nya sa kin,” Kris posted on her Instagram account on Monday, September 15. 

 

She added, “Together w/ my brother & my 2 sons, it's with Boy that I continue to experience the gift of true & unconditional love.”

 

 

Boy was absent from his TV shows for a month after going through a health ordeal due to an abscess in his liver.

 

Kris first revealed she will give the Hummer to Boy in the September 14 episode of ABS-CBN's showbiz talk show “The Buzz.”

 

“Excited na ako sa gift ko sa 'yo… Ibibigay ko na lang ang hiningi mo dati, sinabi mo ’yung Hummer na gusto mo,” she said on “The Buzz” on Sunday.

 

Kris revealed she asked for permission from her two sons Bimby and Josh before giving the Hummer to Boy.

 

“I talked to the boys, sabi ko, ‘Let’s give [the car] to Tito Boy.’ And sabi ni Bimby, ‘Of course.’ Every night, when we pray, sinasabi ni Bimby, ‘Mama don’t forget to pray for Tito Boy’.”

 

Boy will celebrate his birthday on October 29.
