Life & Style's Father's Day special

MANILA, Philippines – Today at 10 a.m., Q-11’s Life and Style with Ricky Reyes pays tribute to fathers.

Two true-to-life stories written and directed by Gary de Leon will be featured. Paglaya is about ex-convict named Tatay Nap who finds it hard to regain his family’s love and trust even after he has proven to them that being locked up in jail has made him a changed person. Basta Driver Sweet Lover relates the simple yet happy life of a former carwash help Tatay Elpidio, father of 11, who taught himself to drive and is presently a cab driver.

There will be MOS (men on the street) interviews with the topic — “the best work my dad has ever done.” Host-producer Ricky Reyes will also give fashion tips for Daddy.

Watch out for the second part of WE (Women Empowerment) hosted by Mayor Marides Fernando to find out if Nora Liquiran has been successful in locating her long lost parents. In TESDA Bida, Secretary Boboy Syjuco presents the inspiring story of a PGMA (Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo) scholar who is now a computer electronic technician.
