Marian's body language says it all

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo -

Up to now, even if they have three children (including twins) of their own (plus a few adopted ones), Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie haven’t categorically admitted that they are a couple. There’s no need to. (Their) actions speak louder than words.

Is that true in the case of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes who have so far denied there’s anything “romantic” in their relationship, that they are just, ho-hum, “good friends” (a euphemism for, yes, you know what)?

Actually, showbiz-observers said that Marian’s body language says it all. Read their (especially her) lips; decipher the movements of their bodies (take note of the way they exchange glances). They reveal whatever it is, no matter if already so obvious, that they refuse to articulate. No need.

“They have confirmed,” Bb. Joyce Bernal, the pair’s TV director, was quoted as saying. “Umamin na sila.”

Asked to kiss on last Saturday’s Startalk after a “live” interview, Marian and Dingdong obliged with a tender lip-to-lip, much to the titillation of their fans who were given a special permit to enter the studio to sit as audience (and cheering squad).

Is it their “nearness,” their “constant togetherness” that made them decide to break up with their respectives steadies (Dingdong with Karylle who has beautifully recovered and Marian with a San Sebastian cager)? You bet.

After their highly-successful team-up in Marimar and Dyesebel, the loveteam is starring in another GMA potential hit TV series, (Carlo J. Caparas’) Ang Babaing Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang (which starts airing tonight). Starring Vivian Velez and (the late) Eddie Rodriguez in the movie version, Tadyang is said to be even “bolder, sexier and more daring” than Dingdong and Marian’s first two starrers.

What does Marian find sexy in Dingdong?

“His totality, his whole being, from head to foot...lalo na ang kanyang batok.”

Asked the same question, Dingdong gave the same answer, adding that his batok (nape) is one of his erogenous zones.

Meanwhile, the good news about Dingdong is that he, as the world’s No. 3 Sexiest Male (on a list of 30 chosen by E! Entertainment, topped by David Beckham), will be featured in the pilot episode of AXN Asia’s The Duke. This was confirmed by Eric Wong, director of The Duke, in a letter to Dingdong’s manager Perry Lansigan: AXN Asia is producing a classy male magazine and talk show called The Duke. We have selected Dingdong Dantes as one of the dukes to be interviewed exclusively on the show as one of the most successful actors in the Philippines. Dingdong will be invited to share his life, philosophy, ambitions and experiences with our viewers.

More on what makes a Pinoy movie ‘identifiable’

Funfare’s recent feature about the “Top 20 Signs of a Pinoy Flick” drew considerable reactions. Here are two more lists from readers:

• From Ronald Villaranda (no address given):

1. Kahit first time lang makahawak ng baril ang leading lady ay asintado ito sa barilan

•  And from a reader who requested anonymity:

 1. Yung mga goons or stuntmen laging naka-maong or leather jacket kahit sobrang init.

 2. Hindi hinihintay yung sukli kapag nagbabayad sila.

Ma-i-in love ang lover.
