Cheetahs, Dragons shoot for win No.2

CEBU, Philippines — The Benedicto College (BC) Cheetahs and the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons  shoot for their second straight victory in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 26 basketball tournament today (Sunday, September 6) at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Cheetahs will  clash with the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu Fighting Maroons at 3:30 p.m.

The Cheetahs are coming off a 62-56 win over the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers.

In the other collegiate matchup at 5 p.m., the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters will make their season debut against sister-team UCLM.

In the juniors division, the CEC Dragons  will try to score another victory as they tackle the USPF Panthers at 2 p.m.

The Dragons opened their campaign with a 75-64 drubbing of the San Carlos School of Cebu (SCSC) Baby Warriors.

In the 12:30 p.m. opener, the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars will square off against the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Junior Wildcats. — (FREEMAN)
