CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Province grabbed two golds, while Cebu City and Mandaue City got one gold each in boxing competition of the recently-concluded 2015 Philippine National Games-Batang Pinoy National Championships at the Cebu Coliseum.
Alexander Bonita delivered gold for Cebu Province after winning by unanimous decision against Bago's lone finalist, Rodel Gamos, in the kids vacuum division final.
Bonita's teammate Berland Robles eked out a split decision victory over General Santos City's Ar-jay Recopelacion to hand CP's second gilt via the pinweight class.
Team Cebu City, on the other hand, saw its last young man standing Eduardo Jimenez winning by default against John Mark Miranda in their gold medal match under the kids powderweight division.
