Alta Vista Fun Golf tees off this weekend

CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for this weekend’s Alta Vista Fun Golf Tournament, the second major event of the club based in Pardo, Cebu City.

The tournament is open exclusively for members and guests of sponsors.  Entry fee is P2,800, but registration has been closed since last week as only 250 slots are available.

At stake in the event are specially-made plaques for the overall lowest gross, overall lowest net and the top three for classes A, B, and C for men and also the guest division.

There will also be an award for the lowest gross and the three finishers for the net in the seniors’ category, which is for players aged 55 to 69 years old.

For the super seniors (70 and above), ladies, and dependents’ categories, there will be prizes for the top two players based on net scores.

There will also be several prizes at stake for hole-in-one.  A Haojue motorcycle from Norkis Trading and P150,000 worth of first bet coupons from Pagcor will be given away for an ace on any of the five par-3 holes.

On Hole No. 8, there will be a Foton Thunder pick-up, a roundtrip ticket to Korea from Air Busan, and an overnight stay courtesy of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel with champagne breakfast.

On Hole No. 15, there is a Club Car golf cart, a trip to Dakak from Marist Royal Holidays Travel and Tours, a weekend stay at Moevenpick Hotel Mactan, and an Atmospheric Water Generator from San Gabriel Metal Concepts Inc.

Skygo is also offering a motorcycle for an eagle on any of thepar-4 holes.

The tournament is a strokeplay event with the lowest handicap index of the player for the October to December period to be applied.

The giveaway for the event will be a specially-made limited edition Timex sports watchith the Alta Vista logo.
