Time Out cage clinic opens in Balamban

CEBU, Philippines - The Time Out Basketball Clinic swings to the bustling southern Cebu municipality of Balamban starting today at the Balamban Sports Complex.

The training is divided into two levels, the Beginners from 7 to 9 am and the Advanced from 9 pm to 11 am.

The annual cage clinic is open to boys and girls aged seven to 17 years old. Entry fee is pegged at P1, 200 per participant with free basketball and training jersey.

The training camp will be spearheaded by Rex Salvaña, former assistant coach of the Cebu Gems. He also once served as chief bench tactician of the Misamis Oriental Meteors in the defunct Mindanao Visayas Basketball Association (MVBA).

Time Out will focus on the fundamentals of basketball such as proper passing, dribbling, shooting and footwork. It will also take up on-court communication, appropriate defensive stance and offensive patterns and some other related drills. - THE FREEMAN
