Gothong wins August title in Prima monthly bowl

Docdoc Gothong toppled 1,665 pins to rule the August edition of the Prima Tenpin Bowling Monthly Open at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Brgy. Banilad, this city.

Gothong posted a high game of 233 pins in game 2 and a low game of 175 in the seventh of the eight-game final series.

Gothong edged out closest pursuer Jose Caberte by just 39 pins.

Clarence Tiu settled for third with 1,595 pinfalls, while female bowlers Xyrra Cabusas and Alexis Sy finished fourth and fifth with 1,548 and 1,540 pins, respectively.

The champion in the Cebu Progress Marketing-sponsored event got P3,000, while the second to fourth received P2,000, P1,500, and P500.
