Cebu dance athletes continue to shine in National championship

Cebu dancesport athletes continue their good performance  in the 2007 Dancesport National Championship sanctioned by Dancesport Council of the Philippines Incorporated (DSCPI) held at Philsports Arena, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.

Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) grabbed seven gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals while Cebu-based private dance athletes hauled 10 gold, six silver and nine bronze medals.

Siblings Jason and Kathlene Deluvio led DTCC’s medal harvest with two gold medals, winning the juvenile Latin and standard disciplines.

One of DTCC’s hardworking officials, Ricca Alix along with her trusted partner, Renante Saldua got a gold in the senior C standard upon their return to dancesport action.

The other golden pairs were Mark Joseph Fernandez and Barbie Caryl Vallente (youth C Latin), Inoe Roi Rendon and Christy Kim Velez (youth C Latin A), Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Marie Cañeda (junior C standard), and Mae Lozada and Alselmo Estellore (grade C Latin).

The silver medallists were Eo Lowen Rendon and Desiree Serraga (youth Latin A and Latin standard), Tracy and Troy Villarta  (juvenile standard), Romeo Ciabo and Hannah Jane Deluvio (SE 1F standard), Kelly Jay and Grace Diana Silud (junior C standard) and Gagani and Inocando (grade C standard).

Bjorn Torreon and Theresa Tan (grade E standard), Joel and Ana Madera (grade A standard), Mario Ginete and Mae Pabuaya (grade E Latin), Diana Grace Silud and Kelly Jay Deluvio (junior C latin), Lloyd Bartolini and Charlene Virlouvet (SE1F standard) and Danilo Almario and Kinue Sakurai (grade D standard) were DTCC’s bronze medallists. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
